🏃 The Run

This is a relaxed, social run designed to be welcoming whether you're already running regularly or you're just getting started.

We'll keep the pace comfortable and conversational, with no pressure to race, hit a certain time or keep up with anyone else. The focus is on running together, meeting people and enjoying being outside.

No one gets left behind, and there's no expectation to be the fastest person in the group. Just turn up, lace up and run with us.

Meet Your Run Leader: Krishma

I’m Krishma, an MSK Physio who’s also figuring out this running thing myself.

I’ve definitely been the person who’s still “trying” to love running, so I know how intimidating it can feel to start — especially when it seems like everyone else already considers themselves a runner.

That’s a big part of why I wanted to create this run club. I want it to be somewhere you can turn up, give running a go and build from there, without feeling like you have to be fast, experienced or already “a runner”.

Whether you’re starting from zero, getting back into running, or simply fancy some company, you’re welcome.

My physio brain is a little bonus too. I’ll help us build up sensibly, get stronger and hopefully keep those niggles at bay. But mostly, I’m here to run, chat and figure it out alongside you.

No pressure. No pace expectations. Just good people getting out and moving together.

🌿 Route Overview

Starting from Phillips Memorial Park, we’ll head out through Godalming and the surrounding area, taking in a mixture of quieter roads, paths and trails.

The route has been chosen to keep things enjoyable and accessible, with a comfortable pace that allows everyone to settle in and run together. There’ll be plenty of opportunity to chat, take in the surroundings and enjoy the morning.

We’ll then make our way back towards Phillips Memorial Park, finishing the run together after around an hour.

Whether this is your first Northern Wind run or you’ve joined us on a walk before, you’ll be very welcome.

What to Bring

Comfortable running shoes, water and yourself!

We recommend dressing for the weather and bringing a lightweight waterproof layer if rain is forecast.

Important Information

By taking part in this Northern Wind community run, you acknowledge that you are participating at your own risk.

Please make sure you’re comfortable taking part in a one-hour run and let Krishma know if you have any injuries, health concerns or niggles that may affect your participation.

We’ll be running as a group, so please be mindful of other runners, pedestrians and other path users along the route.

Most importantly, come as you are, enjoy the run and have fun.

See you out there! 🏃‍♀️🌿
